![]() I can only assume that the SCM Player code generated, when creating the player at is missing some salient snippet of code in order for it to work with websites created with Website X5 or that the structure of websites created with Website X5 does not allow for the SCM Player code to work.Įither way, I have found the whole process extremely frustrating. With the SCM Player code inserted into the html the websites just display a blank white screen. Without the SCM Player code inserted into the html the websites display perfectly. I have tried this on a couple of websites. If I remove the SCM Player code then the Home Page displays perfectly. However, when I then open the Home Page I am presented with a blank white page. I then copy and paste the code created in the website to the Home Page of my website - exactly where I am instructed to do so - which is directly below the tag. The player performs perfectly in the website. Here is what I do - and I will try and make it as brief, and succinct, as possible.įirst, I create the audio player in - whereby I choose the option of linking to You Tube music videos. I am now fully aware of this because I have, for the purpose of this experiment, now created basic websites with no extra external code added whatsoever and I still am faced with the same problem when adding the SCM Player code to them. Includes externally added code, within the, and, sections for the WOW Slider Header and the Amazing Audio Player, and the Countdown Timer, and that somehow the codes may be causing a conflict when confronted with the SCM Player code - even though all three original codes exist in harmony when not confronted with the SCM Player code - but this is not the case. ![]() The same goes for the identical audio player created at the website.īoth of the audio players function perfectly on their respective websites, but refuse to work within Website X5.Īt first, I thought that the problem was down to the fact that the website where I would like to include the SCM Player The SCM Player works perfectly on the website, where I create it, but it does not and I repeat, does not work in Website X5 - either when adding the code into the section within the Website X5 program directly, or by adding the code indirectly to the section of the html once the web site has been exported from Website X5 as a html file. I would like to make it perfectly clear, however, that I am not saying that the SCM Player does not work per se - although I have found no other website incorporating it into their design in order for me to form an educated opinion - I am just saying that the SCM Player does not work for me. I just cannot get the SCM Player player to work for me. Thanks.I will come straight to the point. I know that I won't be the only one who would appreciate a working seamless music player plugin in their message board. Since this plugin is so popular and seemingly well-made, I want to know if it's still possible to implement into phpBB properly. ![]() I also believe that the jQuery in the script conflicts with the site but I don't know Javascript, so what do I know? I end up getting AJAX errors and permissions errors and who knows what else when I use SCM Music Player. Fine, except that SCM Music Player breaks AJAX. ![]() The problem is that in order for SCM Music Player to work, it has to wrap the site in an iFrame. My point is that this is a very interactive community based on the arts, and I want to implement a seamless video game music player fitting for such a community. Now, I just installed phpBB 3.1.7 on my new video game message board site, and I created a custom prosilver theme with pure Javascript sidebar and stream toggles that display a chat and a Twitch stream respectively. It's a popular plug 'n' play script, and the only one of its kind that I can find. SCM Music Player is an open-source music player bar that sits on the bottom or top of your site and plays a playlist of music unintrusively and seamlessly as you browse. Alright, let's get some info out of the way.
